3 Nov 2008 12:01 Reel Rock Tour this coming Sunday
November already? What has happened to the rest of the year??? Autumn is truly here with 'any weather possible' occurring and darkness by 5.30pm. Not good.
We've got a couple of things planned that should help to brighten up your month with the first occurring this coming Sunday - Nov 9th - at 8pm. The Reel Rock Film Tour rolls into The Climbing Works with a night of stunning climbing footage. The night will be split into 2 with the first part showing short films including:
Grand Canyon Walls - Tommy Caldwell and Beth Rodden exploring the untouched rock of the Grand Canyon.
OnSight- a 10min section of Posing Productions stunning new film
Aerialist - Dean Potter pushing the limits of both free soloing and base jumping as he climbs solo with his only safety a quick dispatch of his base jump chute if he falls.
Rocklands - A tour of one of the world's best bouldering areas with Daniel Woods and Paul Robinson filmed by the people behind the Dosage series
Part 2 will be the brand new flick from Sender Films - The Sharp End. A film showcasing some of the U.S's best climbers (including Matt Segal, Kevin Jorgensten and Alex Honnold - the lads tearing up the peak district as we speak - they'll be here for the film showing as well) running it out on hard trad, big boulders and free solos. Watch the trailer below...
Cost of the night is only £6.50 / £6 concession !!! which is ridiculously cheap for so many films. We want to keep you fully psyched during this dark month so come down, have a brew and enjoy the show.
Climbing is available as normal up to 8pm so you can climb and then watch the Reel Rock Tour for a full Sunday experience.
